Let’s make it a little clearer.

What is Lazy?

Lazy is a native workplace chat app. It brings channels, direct and group messages, threads, reactions, files and search together in a desktop app that connects to a server run by you or your team.

Do I need to run a server?

Someone does, but it doesn’t have to be you. If your team already uses Lazy, ask for the server address and an invitation code. If you’re setting it up for your team, the self-hosting guide walks through Docker and PostgreSQL.

Which computers can run Lazy?

There are installers for macOS 11 or later (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), and Linux (64-bit Intel/AMD). Linux needs a Vulkan driver and a system keyring. The download page has the details.

Are voice or video calls included?

Not yet. Huddles and broader integrations are planned for later. Lazy currently focuses on messages, channels, threads, files, search and incoming webhooks.

Who is the sloth?

That’s Moss. A quiet, paper-cut companion for saying hello, catching up and celebrating the small wins. A reminder that the people on the other side of the message matter.
